Idiocy

Can anyone explain why the National and American League playoff games are both scheduled at night tonight? At the same time? You'd think they never played day games at Wrigley, or something...

The Fox Execs thought they would get better total audiences by splitting the games up in primetime.

I haven't talked to any of them yet, but my many DC area Cub fan friends are probably pretty surly about having to go to a bar to watch the NLCS.

It was just idiotic. F/X, a Fox entertainment cable channel (I think they showed regular season games on it -- usually the Dodgers -- a few years back), had the Cubs on, and at least I could flip channels, but it was still bizarre. Wouldn't you want both the Cubs and the Red Sox-Yankees on national TV, even if one of the two has to air in the afternoon?
